For fertility clinics and universities

Evidence based CBT strategies that work independently or alongside supportive counselling, and cut the waitlist.

AICBT licenses clinician written, published Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the most researched psychological intervention, though a dissemination problem means only a minority of people who seek help ever receive it. Your clinic or campus can offer it under its own name, so patients and students can start immediately, without waiting for an appointment, freeing your clinical team to focus where they're needed most. One time seat blocks, no subscription, and evidence a procurement committee can actually verify.

01

Clinician written

Every word is written in advance by a licensed clinical psychologist. Nothing is generated by AI, so you know exactly what your patients or students receive.

02

Published, not claimed

13 published trials back the programs, with citations you can check yourself, not marketing copy. The program never varies by provider, so the version tested is the version your patients or students get.

03

One time licensing

Seat blocks never expire and there is no subscription. A single budget approval, not a recurring line item to renegotiate every year.

04

Clinical and technical leadership

Directed by a licensed clinical psychologist and a data scientist together, so the psychology and the platform are both built to the same standard.

Offer it to everyone you serve.

Clinics and universities license AICBT programs so every patient and every student gets structured, evidence based psychological support that works alongside your clinical team, without adding to their workload.

The home of digital CBT, built on evidence.

AICBT builds cognitive behavioural therapy that people can use on their own, backed by evidence anyone can check. It began in 2007, years before "digital mental health" was a category, when clinical psychologist Dr. Fjóla Helgadóttir taught herself to code to build the first version. Today AICBT Ltd is directed by Dr. Fjóla Helgadóttir and Neil Yager, and the approach hasn't changed: build a program grounded in decades of clinical technique, test it, publish it, then improve it. That work began with Overcome Social Anxiety, the long running flagship now licensed by US universities, and now includes Overcome Fertility Stress and Overcome Death Anxiety.

01

Clinician written

Every module and chapter is authored by a licensed clinical psychologist, never AI generated, never generic wellness filler.

02

Tested and published

The methods are put through peer review and randomized trials, then cited openly, not just claimed on a landing page.

03

Yours to use anywhere

Self paced, private, and available without a referral or waiting list, built to run alongside the care you already have.

Directed by two people who build the evidence themselves.

Tested. Published. Not just claimed.

1.70 Effect size (Cohen's d) in the Hafliðadóttir randomized controlled trial, Overcome Fertility Stress
1.76 Effect size (Cohen's d) among real world users worldwide who completed Overcome Social Anxiety, McCall et al.

AICBT's programs have been tested in 13 published trials, including randomized controlled trials, the gold standard of clinical research. Because each program is fixed and clinician written, not a protocol left open to interpretation, the version tested is the exact version your patients or students receive, a guarantee most psychotherapy research cannot offer. Fertility and social anxiety each add a different kind of evidence: the Hafliðadóttir trial is a randomized controlled trial with a waitlist control group, while Overcome Social Anxiety adds real world validation on top of its own RCT, with a retrospective analysis of past users from around the globe who completed the program entirely on their own finding an even larger effect, showing the results hold up with real, self selected users worldwide, not only inside a trial. See the full publication list. Dr. Helgadóttir's research has been cited 852 times on Google Scholar, cited below.

We were AI before AI meant chatbots.

The AI in AICBT stands for the adaptive intelligence built into the programs since 2007: carefully designed logic that personalizes clinician written therapy to each person's answers. There are no large language models, no chatbots, and no generated responses anywhere in the therapy. Every word was written in advance by a clinical psychologist, and the technology decides only which of those words you need next.

This is not a recent pivot. In 2009, Dr. Helgadóttir published a pair of first authored papers on bridging the gap between Eliza, the original chatbot, and genuine online CBT, over a decade before the current wave of AI wellness apps existed.

Misophonia: a book in progress.

Forthcoming Misophonia Dr. Fjóla Helgadóttir

Some sounds don't just annoy you. They take over. Misophonia is real, common, and badly misunderstood. Dr. Fjóla Helgadóttir is writing a book that explains what it is, why it happens, and what actually helps, from a clinical psychologist who treats it.

The book is being written now, with publication expected by the end of 2026. Sign up to follow along and be first to know when it launches.
